Requiem Stands

This article is about the Requiem stands, who're more than you think, according to the theory that I'm about to share, but, in order to make a good explanation, I have to start since the beginning.

Here's my theory about the arrow, So as the Hamon (Ripple) and the stand power are certainly the same (Both are fueled by vital energy), the arrow is the same as the stone mask, both make the victim/user evolve, but in different ways and with some rules.

(Video) Chariot Requiem - Stand Sound Profiles

While the masks uses vital energy from other people through blood to transfer it to the user and make him evolve into a vampire, the arrow uses the strong feelings and make it to evolve, creating a stand.

When the arrow strikes, the person will get a stand as strong as his spirit, if it's strong enough, like we see with Akira Otoishi's Pinky, the stand will have the chance, when the user is having big stimulation, to put itself back together, and, according to the rule that states the stand's damage will be same for the user, the user will also put itself back together, that's how the victim of the arrows survive to the wound caused by the arrow. Like we see with Koichi, it's not necessary to have a strong enough spirit to get a stand, Koichi got healed by Josuke but the fact that he still develop a stand, a very weak one (the egg), means that just being hit by the arrow is enough to inherit a stand, it just that those who're strong enough are able to survive by themselves.

The stand is the soul manifestation, the soul speed is defined by how smart are you, the special power and shape is defined by how are you and the strength is determinated by how strong is the feeling that you're using to control them.

The arrow make our spirit evolve to a point when it's able to projects out of the body, but after that, the stand and the user becomes different beings despite everything, that's why the stand get his own name.

So, if the user instead of the stands gets stabbed by the arrow a second time, like Kira Yoshikage, his spirit will evolve enough as to unlock a new power that his stand must always have but the user's spirit was too weak as to use it, like Bites the Dust.

But in the case of the Requiem stand, the stand is the one to evolve. As I say before, the stand is a different being than the user, so when he evolves, it develops his own spirit, a new appeareance, and it's able to survive without the user, like Chariot Requiem, it will also develop powers, normally not-related with his previous ones, that affect not just users or unliving objects but also the souls. The Requiem stand will also develop his own personality, knowing more of himself than the user, it will talk with his own words and also will look totally different. Like we see with Gold Experience Réquiem, Giorno was unaware of the requiem power and also looks unaware that his GER was able to move inside the erased time, so we could say that a requiem strong enough is able to resist the time alterations while the user is unable.

Having said that, we will now review the list of Requiem Stands, according to my theory:

  1. Chariot Requiem: Supposedly the first stand to reach the Requiem with his power of soul swap, that makes people exchange bodies, that appears to have a big secret motive that wasn't achieved because of his defeat by the hand of King Crimson.

  2. Gold Experience Requiem: One of the most powerful stands after Made In Heaven, with the power of nullifying actions to the moment previous of his occurrence. I have the theory, considering the birds flying backwards so as the wasp, and the fact that Diavolo end up repeating his warning previous to attack Giorno, that GER have the power to rewind time, Diavolo was the only one to be conscious (Giorno apparently wasn't) during his effects because he is a genuine time manipulator like Dio or Jotaro. That will explain why GER was able to counter the power of King Crimson, because, while King Crimson destroys the time flux, preventing it to flow, GER it's the opposite, he force the time to flow in backwards, just like MIH force it to move foward.

  3. Echoes Act 3: This was part of the theory that I was aiming for, explain why I think there are others Requiem Stands that born without the arrow. Koichi Hirose's spirit was pathethic, but it was eventually evolving throug his bravery and the strengthening of Koichi's will. like Kira Yoshikage's after receiving the second hit of the arrow, the intensify of the spirit cause changes the power of the spirit, reflecting them in the hair (everytime Koichi unlocks a new Act, his hair changes). Compared with the spirit of Koichi when he develops Echoes Act 0 (the egg), Act 3 have the same difference of power than Gold Experience Requiem compared with Gold Experience. Act 3 looks totally different, develops a power not-a-all related with his previous power and also develops his own personality and starts to talk while before he was unable. It also was aware of his powers more than Koichi. Having Koichi as a proof, we could say that a user by himself is able to reach the Requiem state, but just when it comes to a weak stand with an user still in growing, so the Requiem he will achieve will have the level of a regular stand, not one particulary powerful.

  4. Tusk Act 4: Just like Koichi, I have the theory that Johnny Joestar was also able to reach the Requiem, but to explain the Requiem in a universe without the arrows I may need to explain my theory about stands in the alternate universe. On Steel Ball Run, Johhny acquires Tusk through a member of the Saint's Corpse. According to Hot Pants and Johnny himself, his stand power was activated by the Saint's corpse member inside him and wouldn't work without it, yet, we see Johnny manifest Tusk without any member of the Saint's corpse with him. According to Mountain Tim, when you enter to the Devil's palm (the place where you find the Saint's corpse member) you achieve a stand or die, that's probably related to Holly Kujo's health problem, if you develop a stand but you're spirit is too weak as to hold it, you will die because the stand sucks the life in you little by little, but in this case, it appears not to be little by little, if you enter to the devil's palms with a spirit not strong enough as to develop a stand, you will die just like Masazo Kinoto once he lose Cheap Trick. As I say before, the stand is created by a feeling, so it uses that feeling to fuel his powers, the feelings I recognized till now are will (those develops stands the user controls at will), hatred (like Ebony Devil or Notorius B.I.G) and in some cases it could also be stands created by a subconscious (that will explain the automatic stands like Black Sabbath) but Tusk and Ball Breaker, according to my theory, are stands that were created and fueled by the spin, Johnny was able to use spin thanks to the Saint's corpse that create Tusk, but because he haved a weak spirit and poor knowledge about the spin (that time) he needed the Sain't corpse to use Tusk. Thanks to the Saint's corpse, Tusk was able to talk, but when Johnny developed Tusk Act 2 learning how to use the Golden Rectangle, since that moment, Johnny would have been able to use Tusk without the member. Ball Breaker was a very powerful stand because the strong spirit of Gyro, but because it was fueled by the spin, Gyro needed to achieve the infinite rotational energy to manifest such powerful stand. Well, as I was saying, because Tusk was fueled by spin, he was evolving while Johnny became better using it. If we consider that the egg phase of Echoes was the same as Tusk Act 1, then a stand achieve the Requiem through the third evolution, in this case, Tusk Act 4. It was because the Requiem that Tusk was evolved enough as to move inside the stopped time, while Johnny (just like Giorno during GER vs King Crimson) was unable to do it during his battle against Diego Brando (THE WORLD) and also appear unconscious that Act 4 was able to do it. Tusk Act 4 didn't develop a new/different power once he achieved the Requiem because his powers were limitated by the fact that he works through the spin, and he didn't develop his own personality and started to talk, because Act 4 is a temporal state that could only unleash one infinite rotation by ride, after that, Johnny will need to charge it again through the ride of a horse.

This is my theory about the truth behind the Requiem stands, if you don't find this as something logic, you must be under the effect of Requiem, and in fact, you will never arrive at the truth.
